Educational Organizations Management System

ISO 21001:2018 specifies requirements for an Educational Organizations Management System (EOMS). It is designed to enhance learning experiences and address the needs of students, learners, and other interested parties.

ISO 21001 applies to all types of educational organizations: schools (primary, secondary), universities, colleges, vocational training institutes, e-learning providers, corporate universities, and other providers of formal education.

ISO 21001 is based on ISO 9001 but adds education-specific requirements addressing learner needs, teaching quality, curriculum management, and student support services. It is specifically designed for the education sector.

ISO 21001 does not replace academic accreditations from bodies like AACSB or NCAAA, but it complements them by providing a management system framework that strengthens institutional processes and demonstrates quality to a wider range of stakeholders.
